Language development is focus in the early age. Since the world is no longer limited by boundaries. Globalization is not only needed but it is a necessity with the growing demands of the world with skilled and trained leaders A leader needs to be able to communicate both in written and spoken form. The more languages a child learns in the early age, the more capable the child will be when they reach the adulthood. To be able to communicate in various languages which cover most of the world is an advantage in any field. To be bi-lingual is no longer unique, but a demand in the work field. Communication skills are major advantage toward the success of anyone.
Therefore, in our school curriculum, Chinese and Spanish are two foreign languages being taught from age two years old and up. Our students can sing “Happy Birthday” song in 4 different languages – English, Chinese, Spanish and Tagalog. The goal is to explore the child into understanding and speaking as many languages as they can speak.
Children develop their vocabulary through Mandarin activities - visual aids, songs, storytelling, music, drawing, arts and crafts and counting. Small classes ensure maximum attention to every child.
As a subject, standard Spanish is important for children to learn. For young children, empowering our students to learn Spanish as soon as possible will help communicate effectively with the different people in our community.
